Music Lessons at Blue Note Instruments

If you are looking for a place learn how to play an instrument in Sheffield then you have found it. Bluenote Music Shop has a sound proof studio which is the perfect environment to learn an instrument. We have been in the music business for many years selling different musical instruments and teaching people how to play them. We also repair damaged instruments and for clients across the UK and beyond.

We can teach you to play 5 different instruments at our Sheffield music shop– we have clarinet lessons, flute lessons, piano lessons, saxophone lessons and recorder lessons. We have lessons for beginners, intermediate and advanced pupils and we cater to pupils of all ages ranging from kids to teenagers to adults. You can choose to learn on a one on one basis or you can choose to learn in a group and parents are welcome to stay with their children as they learn.

Lessons happen once a week and they last between 15 minutes and 1 hour based on the age and ability of the pupil. We have two dedicated teachers who have helped dozens of people learn how to play different instruments in the past. They are both CRB checked. Pupils who come to us can work towards ABSM exams in which case we can provide piano accompaniment and aural lessons, but there are many who come to us simply because learning how to play a new instrument is fun.

It doesn't end there; you can buy the instrument that you are learning how to play from us so that you can practice on your own at home. In addition to the five instruments already mentioned, we also sell oboes, piccolos and bassoons. We hold different brands of instruments in order to cater for different budgets and if you are not sure which one would be best for you we have employees in the shop to guide you. If you don’t want to buy, but would rather rent one you can do so at a small fee for up to a year. We also have music stands, sheet music, reeds, caps and ligatures, cases and bags, slings, instrument stands and cleaning accessories.

If you have an instrument at home that you would like to sell just bring it to us for appraisal – completely free. We also do insurance valuations – expensive music instruments need to be insured just like any other assets.
